Hare Salon & Tuesday Toofers

Our volunteers are starting to give gentle haircuts for our super fuzzy friends, so our Hare Salon is now in full swing. Each Angora Rabbit spends time in front of a high pressure air flow to blow out any dust, dirt or stray pieces of straw. Then we start the process of trimming back the wool, cleaning their underbellies and feet too. (They grow approximately 1 inch a month and they have 3 months worth, so cut back from 4 to 1 inch). Each bunny gets the nails trimmed plus their regular wellness check. Watch our Facebook Live we're calling "Tuesday Toofers" on Tuesdays at 2 PM to meet two of our Comfort Rabbits, and this week we're focusing on Angora rabbits in our program.
