HOPPY EASTER!!

Updated: Jun 12, 2020

Wishing you joy and checking in on you as we all go through these uncertain times together.

It's true when they say "if you don't like the weather in Minnesota, just wait 5 minutes..."

We went from sunny in the 60's yesterday to 6 inches of snow today.

Both are glorious in their own way. Here's some fun with Dusty out visiting Angel (French Angora) then off to see Dutchy (Dutch -- yeah I know it's so creative!), Oreo (Mini Rex), Freckles (Lop) who are bonded roommates now.

WEATHER CHANNEL: Super cool to be interviewed yesterday for a few minutes about the rabbits, STEMbunnies and our wether goats. Appropriate! Here's some of our own footage.

BABY BUNNY NURSERY UPDATE: The Peacebunny Cottage is full of sweetness and joy in ways I can't even begin to explain. We'll be posting new baby videos soon. As part of the Livestock Conservancy, we are part of an intentional, strategic and limited breeding program for blue and white American, blue and white Beveren, Silver Fox and Creme d'Argent breeds. They are guaranteed a forever home with us at the Peacebunny Cottage and are already being socialized. They will be trained as part of our therapy rabbit program if their personalities fit and they choose to participate. If not, they will still have a home here forever. Although not a rescue, we still have a SUPER soft heart for rabbits that also need a furever home and who enjoy spending time with humans and other rabbits. Some of our most awesome ambassadors are rescues, like Fudge, Tator Tot, bonded roommates Freckles, Oreo, Dutchy and Dusty who was left in a box along a highway in Arizona this summer. Now getting the love they deserve.

I'm so excited to see how the certification process for therapy rabbit handler evolves.

It's a win-win-win 1) for the youth who are in the service learning program, 2) for the rabbits who are well loved and cared for, and 3) for those who get visits from these furry angels. And to be in the middle of this is so amazing. I wish we could be inside to visit our elderly friends and those in hospice, but for now some window time will have to do. (This is Moostasha, a gorgeous English Angora rescue that came to live with us in October) who loves to preen and show off his gorgeousness and get reactions from everyone who can't believe the floofiness (which is a step beyond fluffiness!) SEVEN YEARS NOW... My path changed dramatically seven years ago when I was 8 years old when I found 362 rabbits on Craigslist just after Easter and I wanted to save the bunnies by preventing the pet abandonment cycle.

I wanted to rescue the rabbits. Guess what? They have rescued us all right back.

It's Easter. Feeling SO blessed. God has been so good to me.
